Who could benefit from visiting this website?

People like you and me, who are in the planning stages of a trip

  • When considering several possible destinations and would like to get a “feel” for what it would be like to visit one location or another, you research the destination and various options. One place to check out is our website. The immersive videos on this website are a sort of “try before you buy”. Add to that practical information about various locales provided on our pages and you are acquiring good data points to guide your decision making process. You will, at some point, have to make specific “book” or “not book” decisions. Our site helps you make these decisions.

Individuals with mobility or financial constraints

  • In today’s world, there is no need for anyone to be excluded by circumstances from exploring and experiencing our wondrous planet in vivid detail. This website is our contribution to “Accessible Tourism“. The 360-degree interactive videos on this website provide a sense of presence and exploration even if you cannot leave your home.  Our videos give you a feeling of “being there”, even if it is not actually possible to physically be there or get there.

Armchair travelers

  • Let’s face it: our innate desire to explore far outpaces practicality considerations. We cannot physically visit all the places we would like to explore and experience. “Real Life” means job, family, vacation days, obligations and how many days per year you can be on the road. You had a long, stressful day at work and wish you could go to a far away place, if only for a little while. We’ve got you covered. Grab your “electronic device” (phone, tablet, PC or your VR headset; if you don’t have a VR set, consider getting one — it’s better than IMAX!). Get off social media or news feeds (which only get you depressed and more stressed out) and head on to our website and our YouTube channel (VR sets connect to our videos directly in YouTube). Find and start one of our 360-degree immersive videos. You will be transported to another world. Instant gratification! (The saying goes: “don’t expect instant gratification”. True elsewhere, except on this website…)

Educators and Students

  • Use our website as an educational tool. Take virtual field trips to the destinations we cover in our 360-degree videos. Use our pages to supplement learning materials. Many of our images are available for download in full resolution and may be used in school or research papers.
  • What schools (you may ask…) have such fancy equipment as VR headsets? Here are a few examples:
    • Los Angeles Unified School District deployed over 16,000 VR headsets for in-class and after-school enrichment programs;
    • Corley Academy (UK): Uses VR to support students with complex communication needs, boosting engagement and building confidence through immersive learning:
    • Virtual Horizons Charter School is an online school in Utah that provides VR headsets for grades 4-8;
    • St. Louis Schools purchased VR headsets with the help of federal grants;
    • Harvard Extension School piloted VR technology enhanced learning for remote students;
    • The University of Maryland, Baltimore, Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning, provides VR headsets for faculty to use in detailed 3D anatomy and pharmacy clinical case simulations;
  • We have to stop this list here, but the list goes on and on and on…

Travel Agents and Destination Marketers
